Garbage rooms, waste separation rooms, recycling rooms and municipal waste collection rooms often have a very disturbing effect on the environment because they generate odours. Our R-FILTER UV-ozone generators effectively reduce unwanted odours in these areas. Garbage odours, bacteria and microorganisms are decomposed and disappeared by the germicidal (254 nm) and ozone-generating (185 nm) UV-light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our UV ozone generators can be used in three ways to eliminate odours in garbage rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1., Treatment takes place inside the garbage room (Fig. 1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ozone has a sharp, pungent and chlorine-like odour. Its oxidising effect is highly irritating to the respiratory tract. The permissible ozone limit values at the workplace in international comparison:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

0,1 ppm (0,2 mg\/m\u00b3) for an 8-hour workday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we set the ozone concentration sensor so that it recognises a value below the permissible limit set in the given country, we will never exceed the permissible ozone limit. When the set value is reached, the device's ozone-generating lamps are always switched off, while the germicidal lamps remain in operation and continuously disinfect the air. As there is dust and dirt in the garbage rooms and the air is released back into the rooms, the air flowing through the device must be filtered with a coarse filter and then a fine filter before the UV lamps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2, The treatment takes place in the extract air of the garbage room (Fig. 2)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n

Our ozone generator (UVS-M) is installed in the extract air duct of the garbage room, i.e. we treat the exhaust air. Neighbors and the environment are freed from the odour pollution. During treatment it is allowed to enter the garbage room because the extracted air is being treated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Treatment takes place in the garbage room. We bring our mobile ozone generator (UVO) into the room and close off the entire room for the duration of the treatment (Fig. 3).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n

After completion of the timed treatment process, after the contribution of ozone needed has been introduced into the room to be treated, the ozone-producing UV lamps are automatically switched off but the fans remain in operation to promote the removal of the remaining amount of ozone that was not used for the treatment. The radiation range of the VUV lamps used not only enables ozone to be generated, but at 254 nm it also has a strong germicidal, i.e. disinfectant, bactericidal effect. The amount of ozone required depends on two factors: the size of the room and the type of waste being treated. Ozone is a gas that can reach every corner of the room, deodorizing and disinfecting the entire room. You are not allowed to enter the room during ozone treatment as ozone is harmful to the respiratory tract. The ozone safety data sheet provides information about safety and first aid measures. After treatment, any residual ozone must be checked for the permissible limits using an ozone measuring device and the room must be thoroughly ventilated.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
