The UVH Photocatalytic Hygienic Disinfecting and Deodorizing air purifier with motion detector has been specially developed to disinfect and deodorize the air in heavily loaded and used public areas.
The innovative device can be used in any room (washrooms, bathrooms, saunas, dressing-rooms, workshops, high traffic service areas, gyms and accommodations) where we want to filter out and dispose of microbial pathogens, unpleasant smells and odors that may pose a risk to human health. By removing the bacteria and viruses from the air, we also prevent them from settling on surfaces and being spread by touching them.

Functional principle

The with fan designed R-FILTER UVH-50 hygienic air purifier effectively eliminates bacteria and viruses in indoor air and neutralizes odors. The air purifier has a synergistic effect of two technologies.
PCO (PhotoCatalytic Oxidation):
The indoor air circulated by the built-in fans flows through the device in contact with the photocatalyst plates. The plates are excited by UV light, whereupon the catalyst surfaces are activated and produce highly reactive hydroxyl radicals and superoxide ions on their surfaces. The resulting radicals attack the air pollutants like most organic pollutants (bacteria, viruses, mold and odors) and destroy them through oxidation.
UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation)
The applied germicidal lamp is a special UV-C light source. The short-wavelength ultraviolet light in the UV-reactor chamber kill or inactivate microorganisms by disrupting their DNA and RNA. The applied UV light is used also to activate the photocatalyst.

On the surface coated with TiO₂, the following air purification process takes place:

A fenti TiO₂ bevonat egy olyan félvezető, melyet bizonyos hullámhosszú fénnyel megvilágítva elektronokat (e-) léptetünk ki a vezetési sávba, lyukakat (h+) hagyva a helyükön. A lyukak erős oxidáló, az elektronok erős redukáló hatást fejtenek ki. A levegő páratartalmából eredő vízből igen reaktív hidroxilgyökök (·OH) jönnek létre, míg a levegő oxigénjéből reaktív szuperoxid gyökök (·O2-) keletkeznek. A levegőben lévő szaganyagok elbomlanak, a mikroorganizmusok a DNS szerkezetük roncsolódása révén pedig elpusztulnak és belőlük csupán széndioxid és víz marad vissza, mely a megtisztult levegővel távozik. A titándioxid bevonat nem használódik el, tartósan működőképes marad.
